Day 9 of [Unknown site tag]processfest ! Join in now, or go back to the beginning and start from there to be inspired.
To participate, share your contribution in the prompt post for the day, and if you'd like, link back to this community in your own space.
Want some more ideas? Go back to Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, or Days 7 and 8. There's no time limit!
What you want to share doesn't fit the prompt? Don't worry, link to it anyway! All that matters in the end is that we keep talking about how we do what we do - and that we keep creating.
Today's prompt: Tools
What are your tools? What software, hardware, fancy equipment or handmade work-around do you use to create? Don't assume everyone does what you do and would be bored by your answer. It's YOUR answer. Share it with us, and we can pick up tips and suggestions from each other, or connect over the fact that we do indeed use exactly the same tools. To participate, share your contribution in the prompt post for the day, and if you'd like, link back to this community in your own space.

Date: December 16th, 2013 07:58 am (UTC)- Scrivener for school work and notes (and I was considering using it for longer creative writing projects, but hadn't got around to it)
- LibreOffice and various blogs for creative writing
- PSE7 (my only legitimate Photoshop) and recently Illustrator (but it was only a trial)
- Photoscape for giffing (which I haven't done a lot of anyway)
- Notepad and Wordpress (and PSE7 again) for making websites
IRL:
- copy paper or cheap A3 drawing pads, pencils (HB; I prefer traditional rather than refillable) and 0.1 pens
- my knitting loom, hook, yarn needle and basket of yarns for knitting; I also have knitting needles, but haven't given them a proper go yet
- fabric & thread stash, needles, pins, beads, plastic eyes, more yarn, ribbons, patterns, extra-sharp scissors, etc. for sewing
- it's more Gilly's hobby than mine, but: paraffin (someday it will be soy), various repurposed items for molds (mugs, ice cube trays, cupcake molds), wax-dipped cotton wicks, wax crayons, spices and barbecue sticks for candle-making
- also Gilly got me a beading loom and a regular loom for Christmas because apparently I haven't got enough hobbies yet
(- I also want an embroidery frame)
